Have you ever thought you’ve seen a shadowy-figure moving in and out of a certain place, like in an old attic, or have you ever caught something quickly moving past the corner of your eye? Or maybe you’ve suddenly felt sick to your stomach when you are in a specific area, or felt a shift in energy from positive to negative while driving through a certain location? Have you entered a room and thought to yourself, wow, this feels eerie and dark? Have you ever noticed a dramatic change in temperature such as it being really cold or really hot in one particular room while the rest of the home/building is a normal temperature; or have you ever walked into a place and suddenly felt irritable, angry, or afraid, where a moment before you felt great? These are just some of the signs that you may have encountered an open demonic doorway or have just come in contact with a spiritual portal.
A portal is a doorway, gate, or type of entrance that allows someone or something to move freely from one place to another. Just as a physical door allows us to pass from outside to inside of a house and a staircase allows us to travel up or down, so too, a portal allows beings from other dimensions to move up and down, in and out to access our dimension. Some doorways are small, and some are large. There are entryways of light, and there are entryways of darkness, all of which have to do with interdimentional transfer (Jacob’s ladder see Genesis 28).
Dark entryways have varying levels of strength depending on what allowed them to open. Thoughts are the most common method the adversary uses to initially open these portals, so it takes practice to recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit versus the voice of the deceiver. There is a vast difference between darkness and light, so, we need to remember the importance of paying attention to our thoughts.
Whether people choose to believe it or not, our physical realm is highly related to the spiritual realm. The distance between dimensions is as near as the width of a piece of hair. The minimum distance between far dimensions is said to be 6mm or ¼ of an inch. It is interesting to note that what we do within this realm impacts what happens within the hidden realm of the spirit, and spirits from beyond our world can (and do) impact us. The story of Daniel describes how his fasting and prayers over twenty-one days motivated an interdimensional battle between the angelic host to bring the answer in regards to Daniel’s supplications. It is written in the Bible that the Lord God heard him the very first moment he prayed. The outcome of his prayers and the ensuing fight between good and evil was completely predicated on the faithfulness of Almighty God and Daniel’s trusting perseverance in prayer (Dan 10:1-20).
A spirit portal emerges because of a large change in energy. According to Gina Phillips, a trauma counselor specializing in ministry to ritual abuse survivors, one of the reasons cults engage in torture is to cause the dimensional system to violently shift thus making an opening or “portal” due to the large transfer of energy. These portals become rendezvous places for dark powers to continue their interface with humans and cause them, through their demonic influence, to do their bidding. Skin walker ranch is one such example of unexplainable appearances of spirit beings moving in and out of portals. Over time, and with the accumulation of more devastation enacted at the same location, the portal can become quite accommodating. Demonic gateways have increased mainly due to the swelling interest in satanism, participation in certain types of media, rituals, pornography, fighting, and contention which are some reasons why demonic portals have proliferated.
There is an ethereal curtain or veil that separates our physical world from what some would call the realm of theinvisible. It is a thin shield that stops many from tapping into the powers that lay beyond our mortal world, like a drapery hanging over a secret mystery. You might think of it as the dividing point between seen and unseen, known and unknown, or time-bound and timeless. This makes the place between worlds imperceptible to most people.
Those who have had their third eye open can at times, see through the veil as they may possess psychic abilities, but this is strictly forbidden by Father God and is not a recommended practice. On the other hand, according to Isaiah 40:31 “Those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as Eagles; they shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and not faint.” Father gives his people supernatural giftings, strength and abilities but it is not something we are to seek for by pressing through a veil or by attempting to conjur open portals.
In the study of things esoteric, we find this veil is extra thin closest to certain high days. The Witches Wheel illustrates the belief that during particular times of year, depending on the heavenly alignments, the veil between dimensions is thinner and said to allow clearer communication with demonic spirits giving one special abilities. The connection with the supernatural realm of darkness grows stronger during certain times and seasons because of the history of trauma built up over the ages. This is especially true during the period of Samhain when there is an increase in demonic activity through many available portals which have been opened over the ages due to the thinning of the veil, and the increased participation in satanic rituals.
Large geologic events can also create a hole in the veil, as can strong atmospheric events. Particular locations where there has been much bloodshed or death will also create these openings. Hospitals, graveyards, war zones, accident sites, Indian burial grounds, antique and thrift stores, mental institutions will often have many portals and demons waiting to find a host.
Portals can form within a person themself or within their environment through demonic attachments. One of the favorite tricks of witches is to give “gifts” to Christians that have been “blessed” or “charged” (contaminated) through blood rituals. Keeping these gifts inside one’s home allows the sending witch, warlock or wizard to have a perpetual portal through which they can travel on the astral plane, or a place to watch and send curses through remote viewing, causing the victim untold problems. If a person has had a spiritual experience or connection through the use of a shaman, soothsayer, fortune-teller, magus, or other occult practitioner, they will be connected to the demonic at the point of the join. They and their space are very likely to become contaminated and an open portal subject to demonic harassment.
Physical localities, by their very nature, can also become portals such as busy local streets, sidewalks, public parks. Some of the most common locations of Satanic portals are anywhere evil rituals have occurred, basements of old houses, barns, heavily forested areas, old churches turned into homes. There are certain items that are prone to connections with other dimensions such as mirrors, windows, doors, crystal balls, certain jewlery, old books and pendulums. Ouija boards, and other devices are strongly connected with the demonic realm and often act as spiritual portals. All these things serve as highly traveled interdimensional connections that bring with them not only demonic attachments, but severe oppression and the possibility of unexplained tragedy.
Watching pornography or connecting oneself physically to someone outside of marriage is another way dark doorways are opened within the human body allowing internal demonic interface. Brothels are another location where there are many portals. When the scriptures tell us that the “two become one flesh” (Mark 10:8) it alludes to the idea that whatever is contained in the one person (demons, an open portal) will transfer to the other. This is why the Bible warns over and over to flee fornication and sexual promiscuity (Proverbs 7-9;1 Cor 6:18). It’s a warning meant for our good. Sex outside of marriage in any of its forms, opens a portal authorizing the entrance of demons and much destruction.
Tattoos are another way a person can open themselves up to internal portals. Especially tattoos with Satanic meaning, as specific images and words can be very powerful whether for good or for evil. Tattoos are in effect “cutting” which was utilized during ancient pagan rituals to attract demonic favor (Elijah and the prophets of Baal) and is used in satanic rituals today. These self-inflicted wounds can open portals that remain within the body especially because tattoos become the portals themselves and are difficult to remove. These portals can become an energy drain, allowing dark spirits to extract all vivaciousness and light destroying a person’s health, allowing multiplied tragedies, unexplained accidents, poverty, sickness and even death. A person may want to have oil that is anointed applied to each tattoo and pray over renounce and repent for each symbol on the body dedicating all of the body to the true Lord Jesus Christ.
Consider the following testimony concerning tattoos: “When the Deacon poured the holy water on her tattoo, she howled, “It’s burning me!” The water was actually cold. Again and again, he poured holy water on the tattoo as I repeatedly read a prayer for “Decommissioning Tattoos.” After months of deliverance prayers, including exorcizing this tattoo, it was finally over. The tattoo was now benign and the demons connected to it were gone.
Surprisingly, it was just a tattoo of some roses, but it became a huge demonic portal, and a major focus of the exorcism. It was connected to her past as a stripper and carried sexual overtones. With the help of her parents, she found her way out of the clubs into a regular job, and into the confessional.
At one point, some of Satan’s minions had targeted her and were trying to entice her back into the clubs and/or force her into the sex trade. Several of them had tattoos of demons on their bodies, including Baphomet and Aka Manah (a demon of sensual desire). Thankfully, her parents again came to her rescue and protected her.
People ask me what I think of tattoos. I don’t recommend them. With a demonic tattoo, the person has bonded the self to the demonic entity. Even if the image does not depict something evil, if it is connected to sinful behaviors, as with this young woman, it can be a big problem. Moreover, some parlors have been known to curse the ink dedicated to Satan or secretly inscribe magic symbols inside the tattoos themselves. This is a neon sign to demonic entities that they are welcome and these are open portals wreaking havoc.”
CLOSING PORTALS-WHAT NOT TO DO! Do not carry stones of onyx or quartz in order to be “grounded” to the earth. As to whether or not grounding is biblical, the answer is “no” as it pertains to mystical powers. God has not endowed this water-dirt-and-rock planet that we know as “earth” with supernatural power of its own. A belief that the earth holds a mystical energy quickly slips into pantheism. God warns us sternly about worshiping the creation rather than the Creator (Deuteronomy 4:19; Romans 1:25). When we attribute supernatural power to anyone or anything other than the Lord, we are creating an idol (see Exodus 20:3). God is our Creator, and He is ultimately our Healer (Deuteronomy 32:39; Exodus 15:26; Psalm 103:3). Although He has created plants and chemicals that aid in that healing, we must never look for a source of supernatural energy apart from Him. To do so is to invite demonic activity and begin a slippery slide into error. Acts 17:28 points to God alone as the Source and Sustainer of life: “For in him we live and move and have our being.” The earth is not our “mother,” and the sky is not our “father.” The Lord God Almighty is Lord of it all, and from Him only should we seek power.
Do not carry talismans to ward off evil entities coming through portals. Talismans or good luck charms, or idols are not to be part of a Christian’s life in any form. Scripture is clear that there is only one God, and He alone is to be served. Any image or statue that is used today as a good-luck charm is an example of modern-day teraphim. An image of St. Joseph used to sell a house, an image of St. Christopher used to protect travelers in a car, an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe used to impart safety —these are all modern household idols. They are a throwback to paganism and should not be a part of a Christian household.
Do not smudge your home or office. Using sage or any other herbal combinations to make a smoke cleanse to ward off evil, bring good juju, or change the energy comes from Native American ceremonial magic. The practice of smudging is not mentioned in the Bible.
Smudging is usually done with smudge sticks, bundles of herbs that can be purchased or made with sage, cedar, sweetgrass, lavender, etc. During the smudging ceremony of a home, the person smudging is encouraged to focus his or her energy and control breathing. After the smudge stick is lit with a candle, the person waves the smudge stick in the air, often wafting the smoke with a feather, and walks around the house starting at the front door and moving clockwise. Extra attention is paid to the corners of rooms (which supposedly accumulate stagnant energy). Once the entire house has been ritually cleansed, the smudge stick is extinguished at the front door. Some people leave the smudge stick outside the front door, thinking it has protective power.
Smudging a person by using smoke around the body is thought to cleanse them of negative energy. Auras are the occult concept that human beings and other living things emanate subtle energy fields or fields of light, surrounding us like bubbles of power. There is nothing inherently wrong with burning incense or using herbs to beautify the fragrance of one’s home, but that is not what smudging is about. There is no biblical basis for belief in smudge sticks, auras, vibes, or household energy. Using diffused essential oils, cedar chips, pyramids, healing rocks, and healing lights, will not work to cleanse yourself or your environment, but it may end up opening more demonic portals.
The Bible tells us that God protects His children from evil (2 Thessalonians 3:3). We have no need to smudge; in fact, smudging is sin. We trust in Jesus our Savior, not in pagan rituals. God is the source of life, of all that is good and true. God promises, “The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore” (Psalm 121:7–8). He will provide the strength and peace we need to make it through any test. The devil cannot be made to flee with smoldering sage; our refuge is the Lord alone (see Psalm 4:8). God provides us with powerful tools to fend off the enemy’s spiritual attacks (Ephesians 6:10–17). Smudging is not one of those tools.
Do not honor the dead by praying to or talking with dead relatives. If you have an urn with the remains of a deceased loved one, consider placing it in a vault away from your home. This will minimize your temptation to talk to your dead relative. Talking to or asking advice from the dead is called “necromancy” which is clearly forbidden in the word of God. That is why praying to dead saints is a sin. Necromancy is defined as the conjuring or calling up of, a solemn appeal of the spirits of the dead for purposes of magically revealing the future or influencing the course of events. Necromancy involves demons and opens the one who practices it, to demonic attack. Satan and his demons seek to destroy us, not to impart to us truth or wisdom. We are told that our “enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). Necromancy does not rely on the true Lord Jesus Christ for information, the Lord who promises to freely give wisdom to all who ask (James 1:5). This is especially telling because the Lord always wants to lead us to truth and life, but demons always want to lead us to lies and serious damage. The idea that dead people’s spirits can be contacted for information is false. Those who attempt such contact (Dia de Los Muertos) inevitably contact demonic spirits, not the spirits of dead loved ones. Those who die go immediately to heaven or hell—heaven if they believed in Jesus as Savior, and hell if they did not (2 Sam 12:23; Heb 9:27). There is no contact between the dead and the living. Therefore, seeking the dead is unnecessary and very dangerous.
During times of spiritual attack, hypervigilance can cause exhaustion. The enemy loves to hit us when we’re down, or not at our best, and this is nowhere more evident than when we’re exhausted. This seems to be when the enemy takes his best shot, especially when we are desperate for some much-needed rest. In Matthew 4:1-11 we see that it was after the Lord Jesus Christ had fasted for forty days and forty nights that the enemy appeared to him in order to torment and tempt him. Attacking us through our dreams, harassing us through suddenly feeling like a presence is in the room, or even attacking us through sleep paralyzation are his favorite methods. The scripture says, “The Lord YHVH gives His beloved sleep” (Psalms 127:1-2).
When we are frightened because of a presence suddenly appearing in our dwelling, it may be because there is a charged object nearby or an opened portal. This can cause a direct exposure to a type of stress that makes us feel on edge and can be accompanied by anxiety, fear, anger, feelings of depression, a sense of detachment, desire to avoid trauma-related situations, flashbacks, difficulty sleeping, headaches, changes in appetite, irritability, self-blame, guilt, or feeling numb. Intrusive re-experience of trauma such as recurrent thought, involuntary memories, nightmares, or dissociation; avoidance of trauma-related thoughts or feelings or external reminders; negative changes in thoughts or behavior, including an inability to recall details related to the trauma, persistent negative beliefs about oneself or the world, loss of interest, feelings of alienation, or inability to express positive emotions; and changes in arousal or reactivity such as irritability, aggression, hypervigilance, reckless behavior, or sleep disturbances which all contribute to a state of disintegration of a person’s life and may be the result of an open portal through past and unresolved traumas.
God is faithful, and each day we can choose to surrender to God’s love, and rest in His grace and compassion. We turn everything that has to do with us and our environment over to God and actively engage with Him each moment. We are invited to approach God boldly and to pour out our hearts to Him (Hebrews 4:14–16). We are assured that nothing can separate us from His love (Romans 8:35–38). Father God can restore our mental health and remove anything that has opened us up to the demonic realm. He can even use the situation for His glory as we grow strong by learning how to fight back against the wiles of the devil. “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so also our comfort abounds through Christ” (2 Corinthians 1:3–5).
Drink water to clean the body, but don’t do spiritual baths to cleanse your aura. Auras are believed to be subtle energy fields or fields of light emanating from humans and all living things, surrounding them like a bubble. It is claimed that the human aura indicates the spiritual, physical, and emotional state of a person via the color, depth, and strength of the aura. The colors are interpreted as indicating a feeling, experience, state of health, or quality possessed by the owner.
Reading or scanning a person’s aura is allegedly done by some psychics and also by those involved in alternative healing therapies. Auras are allegedly seen through clairvoyance, a paranormal ability to see the non-material realm. It is thought that people either have innate supernatural abilities to see auras or can develop psychic powers to see them through the opening of portals. Belief in auras is an integral part of the occult, particularly among New Age teachings, Wicca, or witchcraft, all of which are condemned in Scripture as abhorrent to God. The Bible strongly condemns spiritism, mediums, the occult, and psychics (Leviticus 20:27; Deuteronomy 18:10-13).
The Bible does not speak of halos or auras, but it does speak of “light” in many places, especially of Jesus Christ as “the light of the world” (John 8:12) and of Satan as one who can disguise himself as an “angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14). Consequently, we know that there is both the true light and a counterfeit light. God says about Jesus, “In him was life, and that life was the light of men” (John 1:4). Christians are to live as “children of light” (Ephesians 5:8), knowing that they “are sons of the light and sons of the day” (1 Thessalonians 5:5). Since “God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all” (1 John 1:5), one should reject the false light energy of the aura, a belief rooted in occultism, and rather seek the true light of Jesus Christ. “For God, who said, ‘Let light shine out of darkness,’ made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ” (2 Corinthians 4:6).
The Bible has a few things to say about divination and open portals: Leviticus 19:31 – “Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.” Deuteronomy 18:10–12 – “Let no one be found among you who . . . practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD.” Isaiah 8:19 – “When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?” Galatians 5:19–20 – “The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft. . . . I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.” Occultists know that “playing” with the Ouija board, or attempting to open spiritual gates and portals is engaging in occultism and is definitely not allowed for a Christian. Seeking wisdom apart from God, especially when it involves calling upon familiar spirits or the spirits of the departed, is clearly forbidden in the Bible. No matter how innocent this type of activity may seem, it is a welcome mat asking for demons to invade our hearts and minds. Satan is a liar (John 8:44), and he masquerades as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:14). The enemy of our souls has fooled many people into thinking they are given special powers through opening portals or that they are communicating with spirits of friends or family members, when in fact they are in contact with demons.
“Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). The scriptural example for dealing with these issues is disregarding all items that pertain to the occult (books, music, jewelry, occult games, Ouija boards, and other occult objects) is to confess involvement with them as sin and burn the items (see Acts 19:18–19).
Now that we have identified portals, how should we close them?
PERSONAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CLEANSING AND DEDICATION
Dedicating ourselves to the true Lord Jesus Christ and anointing ourselves with prayed over oil, as if it were the blood of Jesus, is a good start to shutting down portals. Making sure that we have asked the Lord Jesus Christ to come into our hearts and lives, forgive us of our sins, and be our Lord and Savior as we submit our lives to him is another important step. Dedicating a house or apartment to the Lord is also important when closing portals. This is a practice many Christians follow especially after first moving into a new apartment or home.
In dedicating a house, residents are making a statement to themselves and to the Lord that this is His house and that they are committed to protecting it from evil influences. Dedicating a house is a tangible reminder that God is present; therefore, all activities, entertainments, and conversations within the house should honor Him. (Home Cleansing Prayer see below). The practice of home dedication has roots in the Old Testament. When Abraham and other patriarchs moved to a new location or had a special encounter with the Lord, they often built an altar in that place and named it after their experience (Genesis 12:7; 13:18). For example, when God provided a ram for a burnt offering instead of Isaac, Abraham built an altar in that place and called it “The LORD Will Provide. And to this day it is said, ‘On the mountain of the LORD it will be provided’” (Genesis 22:13–14). When God called Gideon to be the leader of Israel’s armies, “Gideon built an altar to the LORD there and called it The LORD Is Peace” (Judges 6:24). In Exodus 17:15, God declared a victory for Israel, so “Moses built an altar and called it The Lord is my Banner.” The idea of house dedication may also have a foundation in the New Testament, based on the account of Jesus driving the money changers from the temple (Matthew 21:12–13). At that time, the Lord reclaimed a building for the glory of God by first driving out wickedness. He called the temple “my Father’s house.” When a Christian family dedicates their home to the Lord, they are stating that place will be the house of their Father God. It is an offering, as they invite God to use their home in any way He chooses.
FASTING
Sometimes it may be necessary to fast to achieve closure, especially if portals or gates were opened with the sacrifice of babies, children, or any innocent human or animal sacrifice.
CANCEL/CLEAR ALL OPEN PORTALS/ALL FALSE AGREEMENTS: As child of the Most-High God, through the blood of the true Lord Jesus, we declare and decree we are empowered to break illegal spiritual contracts and vows to shut down portals as a matter of practice (Luke 10:19; Matt 16:19). Whether it is forced agreements, theft via forgery, or theft by "consent," portals open through interactions done by your "consent" under coercion, fraud, poverty, isolation, slavery, self sacrifice, toxic partnership, rituals done to harm your health/reputation/children and any other inhumane contract or agreement – we pray for it to be arrested, broken and replaced under the blood of Jesus to return you to your natural state of being with the inclusion of shut portals sealed under the blood of Jesus never to open again. affirmation. All vows are divinely renounced, rejected and annulled by affirmation.

We renounce, we repent, we reject on behalf of ourselves and our generational line - for all those who opened portals through putting us in a double bind situation- have made bad contracts with evil- caused us to be stuck in illegal situations and unusually toxic environments without their consent, through the blood and the name of the true Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, we break all energetic connections or bindings related to the demonic showing up in your life through open portals- for all those who opened a portal pretending to be in our family/or next of kin – all those who invoked our name during curse work – All those who pretending to be us in mirror work – All those who had other people impersonate and misrepresent us in various ways – Who held to the idea that any human being has the right to sell another human being - Imposing contracts using various forms of sympathetic hex work like voodoo dolls - Messing with contracts in material reality to "ruin" us or anyone - Impersonating someone under a contract in any way shape or form - Parents providing expressed consent for harm to be done to their children under any circumstance - All spiritual "sub prime" agreements – (consider for an example a lease agreement which is actually functioning brothel agreement and you we not expressly made aware of this - this is a form of spiritual, illegal, contract and has extreme spiritual ramifications).
We R2 all contracts within material reality which we entered into without fair and legal consent , we declare these are now non-binding and subject to annulment under the blood of Jesus. We declare canceled the terms of agreement for any contract that were founded on harm, fraud or misrepresentation- we declare and decree that we have the right to revoke these agreement wholesale within the heavenly courts and with YHVH Justice system's approval. We renounce all portals that brought disfunction into our lives including spiritually disordered people, places and things that rely on various forms of manipulation and double bind arrangements in order to function. We R2 all victimization that causes personal rights to be revoked including all perpetuation of harm on self or others . We declare and decree an end to these cycles and demand the closure of every evil portal. We R2 all hexes, spell work, group think, energetic manipulations, evil arrangements, inhumane contracts, vows or collaborations under the blood of Jesus and declare they be cancelled on a permanent basis. We know ask you precious Holy Spirit to come indwell every part of us especially where there has been a removal of evil power and a closure of demonic portals within us and around us. Please fill us and refresh us with your fire, your love, and your presence. Seal us and this work that has been done here today under the blood of the true Lord Jesus. Amen.
